On the morning of December 26, Zhejiang Tianxingjian Water Affairs Co., Ltd. held a departure ceremony for the first batch of water treatment vehicle-mounted equipment exported to Madagascar at its intelligent manufacturing base in Zhang Town, Shangyu. This batch of mobile equipment, equipped with high-performance ceramic membrane water purification technology, will be sent overseas to participate in the country's "Post-Hurricane Emergency Water Supply and Sanitation Facilities Project," providing local residents, who are frequently affected by hurricanes and floods, with immediate and reliable clean drinking water.

Madagascar, located in the western Indian Ocean, is plagued by hurricanes and secondary floods throughout the year. The floods not only destroy houses and roads but also severely damage water supply facilities and sources, putting tens of thousands of people at risk of drinking water contamination. 'Access to clean water' has become the most urgent livelihood expectation for the local population.
To address this challenge, with the support of a World Bank special fund, the government of Madagascar launched an emergency water supply project in August 2024 and opened it to global bidding. After competing with several well-known companies from Europe and Japan, the Tianxingjian vehicle-mounted ceramic membrane mobile water supply solution emerged among numerous competitors and successfully won the bid. This victory not only signifies that China’s independently developed ceramic membrane water purification equipment is achieving large-scale overseas deployment, but also marks the first time in history that Madagascar’s water authorities have procured Chinese ceramic membrane technology equipment, making it a milestone achievement.



The ceramic membrane vehicle-mounted water purification equipment launched this time is the innovative result of Tianjian Water integrating the ancient Yue Kiln ceramic craftsmanship with modern water treatment technology. This system has previously been successfully applied in large-scale municipal water supply projects in China and won the 2025 GWI Global Water Award for 'Best Municipal Water Supply Project.' With features such as strong anti-pollution capability, long service life, and stable operation, it is particularly suitable for emergency water supply scenarios where water quality is complex and infrastructure is damaged after floods.

At the launch ceremony site, the vehicles were neatly lined up. Around eleven o'clock in the morning, under the watchful eyes of the attending guests, the convoy slowly drove out of the base to the sound of a unified horn, symbolizing the official departure of the 'mobile water plant,' which carries Chinese technological craftsmanship and care for people's livelihood.

From the wisps of blue smoke from Yue kilns of the Eastern Han Dynasty to the technological brilliance of today's intelligent manufacturing bases, the story of ceramics has always accompanied the progress of civilization. This voyage is not merely a delivery of products, but a response across time and space—using contemporary Chinese wisdom to answer the world's deep call for clean drinking water.
